Donatello, often shortened to Don or Donnie, is one of the four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He is distinguished by his purple mask and signature weapon, the bo staff.

Intellectually gifted and scientifically inclined, Donatello serves as the team's inventor, engineer, and strategist. He is responsible for creating many of the Turtles' gadgets and vehicles, often working in their sewer lair laboratory. His inventions range from communication devices to the Turtle Van.

While all the Turtles are trained in ninjutsu by their sensei, Master Splinter, Donatello's fighting style emphasizes his bo staff's reach and defensive capabilities. He prefers a more cerebral approach to combat, seeking solutions through intellect and strategy rather than brute force. This can make him a valuable asset, but also at times reluctant to engage in direct confrontation.

Donatello's personality is typically portrayed as calm, thoughtful, and compassionate. He values knowledge and problem-solving, offering a contrasting demeanor to his more impulsive brothers.
